In all honesty this interview was a waste of time. I believe due to a lack of research from the interviewer, the questions came from a misinformed standpoint especially when discussing the governments’ interventions in the free market. The fellow from Valletta speaks rather ratty Maltese, his accent. I can understand the rejection. Anyone who looks different to the norm will have comments made about it. And realistically if you are even from another part of the same country you will be called names at times because you are not from that part of the country. You might have a different accent, a different religion etc. I am Maltese born though I ethnically identify as Australian and I experienced stupid comments when I was younger, now no one really cares or says nothing. I myself am an immigrant and I don't like immigrants because they don't assimilate, they are just economic migrants and know nothing about Australia at all. My parents stayed Maltese till they died. I only accept foreign looking people when I hear them speak, if their accents show them to be Australian they are okay, if they speak like they just fell out of some plane from India or Malaysia or Poland then I don't want to have anything to do with them. People are entitled to feel they have a country, a tradition, a language and ethnicity, and not feel like aliens in their own land.
